Q. WHAT is the age limit of your soft play?

A. Our soft play is strictly for ages 0 - 4 years. Older children may use the larger ball pits, balloon domes, and jumping castles.

Q. How long can I hire your soft play packs for?

A. Our soft play is generally hired for a 4-hour period, in addition to transit and setup unless negotiated otherwise. In some circumstances, this may be longer if delivery needs to be scheduled earlier.

Q. Should I hire an attendant?

A. The use of an attendant is compulsory for all bookings after 6pm at a reception venue. We strongly recommend attendants at events where guests might be wearing heels or where several older children may be present. The role of the attendant is solely to ensure all guests are aware of how to use our hire items properly. The use of an attendant does not, in any way, act as a childcare service or reduce any liability you may have should there be damage to the items.

Q. Do you offer any take-home packs?

A. Absolutely, we would be happy to supply you with items for hire to bring the event of your dreams home to you! Pick-up your take-home pack from our warehouse in Maidstone during the week and discuss a drop-off time with our team following your event. All items should be kept in a safe environment and used only for the intended purpose. For more information, check out our Take-Home Packs Page.

Q. Do you have a Delivery & Handling fee for your soft play and ball pits?

A. Yes - we have a fee that covers delivery and travel, set up, pack-down and cleaning. Our Delivery & Handling fee varies between $50-$300 depending on size and specific location.
Our team will arrive before your event commences to set up your soft play / jumping castle pack. After your hiring period is over, our staff will return and pack down everything. A friendly team member will be able to assist with any required fees.

Q. Can I change my mind and cancel my booking?

A. Yes, you can change your mind and receive credit, if the cancellation is made a minimum of 2 weeks or more prior to your event.
If your event is cancelled / rescheduled within a week before the time of hire, you will forfeit the booking fee. Please refer to our legal terms and conditions for more information regarding cancellation and rescheduling.

Q. Can my child wear shoes and socks on the soft play?

A. Magical Moment Parties requires children to be barefoot or wearing socks with grips while playing. Socks without grips are a hazard due to the increased chance of slips, while shoes can damage soft play. Fees may apply for damage.

Q. Can my child eat or drink in the play zone?

A. Food and drink are prohibited in our soft play zones to avoid damage. In our experience, the ideal party structure is play first, eat after, as the little ones are so excited to use our equipment! Please be mindful of food and lollies with food-colouring as it may get on the little ones’ hands and stain equipment.

Q. Can I have a face painter at my event with hired equipment?

A. No - unfortunately, face paint permanently stains PVC, regardless of how water based it is. Face paints, confetti, string, and bubbles are prohibited on our soft play along with sharp toys / foreign objects in our jumping castles. We do have an alternative to this which you will find in our add-ons tabs. Face jewels bring glam to the party and are a great alternative for children 3 and over!
*If you have a balloon twister present at your event, please inform them to avoid using markers as it has potential to rub off and stain our equipment.

Q. Do you have insurance?

A. Yes, the safety of the little ones is extremely important to us at Magical Moment Parties. We have public liability insurance.

Q. Can I leave my child to play unsupervised on the soft play?

A. While our equipment is appropriate for children aged 0 - 4, parent or guardian supervision is required at all times. It is imperative that children are not left unattended with the equipment.

Q. Will you be using pictures from our event?

A. We only use pictures from events for advertising or promotion if permission has been expressly granted by the party host. Where images are provided by your photographer, appropriate credit will be given.

Q. Do you require a security deposit?

A. Yes, a refundable security deposit is held until after your event and on the assumption that the items are clean and not damaged. If our soft play or matting is found to be damaged, stained or in a state of excessive mess at the end of your hire period, this security deposit becomes non-refundable. Further damage costs may be applicable.

Q. How often do you clean your equipment?

A. At Magical Moment Parties, hygiene and safety is paramount. We ensure that all of our equipment is adequately cleaned, and balls sterilised prior to your special event. We also sanitise equipment on site prior to the event to ensure everything is clean following transit.

Q. Can we have soft play on grass?

A. Yes, provided the grass is not muddy or wet. We advise placing down a tarp prior to our delivery team setting up. Since Melbourne weather is often unpredictable, we also suggest keeping in mind an alternative location to move equipment should conditions change. Keep in mind, there are no refunds provided for the booking if we are unable to set up due to weather conditions and there is no alternative plan.

Q. What are the requirements to hire out a bubble house?

A. In order to hire a bubble house, a safety supervisor is required to be present. This ensures both the safety of your guests and the proper treatment of our equipment.

Q. Can I choose the colours of my pack?

A. Of course! For each of our pack selections, there is a lovely variety of colour options to choose from! We can provide options in nearly any colour your heart desires. Can’t pick just one? Try our packs in pastel rainbow!
